Consulate General of India in Vancouver organized an event celebrating International Women’s Day on the theme "Inspiring Inclusion." In his opening remarks, the Consul General highlighted the pivotal provisions within the Constitution of India to address #genderequality. Emphasizing the indispensable role of women in nation-building, he underscored the Government of India's commitment to empowering women across all spheres through various policy measures over the past decade. Recognizing women-led development as a cornerstone of India's progress remains a critical imperative for the nation's strengthening.

The event featured a keynote address by Ms. Michelle Gohlan, HR professional at Maersk, followed by insightful panel discussions led by prominent panelists including Michelle Gohlan, Yogacharini Maitreyi, Mannu Sandhu, Reetinder Kaur, and Purnima Barjatiya, moderated by Sobhana Jaya Madhavan. Special theme videos celebrating women's empowerment, or Nari Shakti, were also showcased, adding depth and inspiration to the occasion.

 

Consul General Manish participated in the Holi 2024 celebrations organized by the Mahalakshmi Temple Vancouver on 16 March 2024, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of India. The Consul General conveyed his greetings & talked about the diaspora's contribution. He also asked them to be part of the Chalo India campaign.

Consul General Manish was honoured to participate in Iftar dinner by The Dawoodi Bohra community of Greater Vancouver. He conveyed his greetings to the community who are observing the holy month of Ramadan along with millions of Muslims around the world. May all our prayers be answered this Ramadan & always.

 

Consul General Manish met with Neelam Toprani, founder and CEO of Sewanti Herbal Remedies, to explore strategies for advancing Ayurveda in Greater Vancouver. During their discussion, they exchanged various ideas to enhance the visibility and acceptance of Ayurvedic practices. In recognition of Consul General Manish's proactive efforts in promoting Ayurveda, Neelam Toprani presented him with a Letter of Appreciation on behalf of the Ayurveda Association of Canada (AAC).
